The Maldives experiences two main seasons; dry season (northeast monsoon) and wet season (southwest monsoon).

Northeast monsoon extends from January to March. As Maldives consists of small islands and are surrounded by the sea, hot days are often made tolerable by cooling sea breezes.

The wet season- southwest monsoon runs from mid-May to November. In this season Maldives experiences high rainfall.

Throughout the year, temperature remains almost same in the Maldives. Daily temperature ranges from around 29 to 31 degrees Celsius in the day and cools down to 23 degrees Celsius during night.

Maldives receives lots of sunshine through out the year.
